  • Blogs and Affiliate Marketing

If there ever was a great tool for drawing attention to goods or services associated with the affiliate programs you promote, a blog is golden!

I use blogs, on their free platforms, to present articles about goods or services that I have at my larger website. Once submitted to blog directories I can increase traffic to my sites without paying for advertising.

What techniques have you found useful for promoting your affiliates?

Article submission is a good method.Forum marketing also works well if you are knowledgeable in your chosen field , but that has to be more indirect for it to be effective.Otherwise, the forum becomes a spammer's paradise.Joining a community also boosts target traffic and when it comes to traffic ,these days one just cannot ignore the importance of social networks.

Ayone try Yahoo! Answer? By answering other people questions there, you can direct people to your site. Yahoo won't ban you by putting your URL link there. You can see instant results with it.

Yes, that's a unique method. If your answers are helpful and if your site is related to the queries ,then it does help to boost the traffic , but when trying to get traffic from yahoo answers , you can't leave your url on every helpful answer that you post or your yahoo account will be gone in a flash. They monitor the accounts very closely , especially , the new ones. In my experience, a 6:1 ratio for adding your url to a helpful answer works well.

A blog could generate a nice revenue if it's ranked highly enough on the SEO chart and has some quality content on it.

What kind of affiliate programs are you promoting, DianaR? I've learned that my niche (writing) isn't considered a "big paying" niche for Adsense, so I thought I'd look into a few affiliate options.

Really? I have been doing that for quite some time and my account in them still valid. I shall say the ratio is 3 to 1. I think as no one is complaining, they won't banned you. If there is someone complaining on your answer by saying that it is a spam, you will get a warning first. I already got those. So now I am very careful in putting my link there.

Adding the link to the signature and becoming a positive contributor to a community that's based in a forum wouldn't be considered spamming , but if someone blatantly puts out their links on the forum just to make a quick buck , then that's definitely spamming and such people are generally the hit and run type spammers who don't stay for too long.

Haven't do that with my blog. I found that many affiliate sites on the net are not blogs. Do you know why?

I'll need to try this! I have known of Yahoo Answers for a while, but somehow never thought of using it for promotion. I did not know that Yahoo allows posting your link, thanks for telling!

                              Hi Diana,
A blog is the easiest way to promote any affiliate activities. I earn money through my own website and earn a commission on each sale. This is also a good method to earn money. For this you need to work hard and it takes time but gives great profits. I would like to share an online tutorial that really helped me. If you can check out SimpleWebsiteTutorials, this tutorial gives in-depth information about how to create your own website and earn money through it.
